Chandrababu turned police into personal guards

The Official spokesperson of the YSR Congress party (YSRCP), Vasireddy Padma said that Andhra Pradesh government had no faith in the AP Police. Addressing the media she said that AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu has turned the police into personal guards. Asking whether the police had acted fairly in any investigation, she stated that Chandrababu was given the Z+ category security due to lack of faith in the police. There is a perception that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is an avenue to divert cases in favour of the government, she added.

Vasireddy Padma demanded to know the status of the SIT investigation in the previous cases. "How could TDP leader Ganta Srinivas thank the TDP Chief even before the report in Vizag land scam was out? The SITs in the call money and sex racket cases destroyed the evidences. The people of the State are aware of the SIT investigation on the Godavari-Krishna pushkarams tragedy," she recalled.

Terming the SIT as a sealed cover support team to the TDP leaders, the YSRCP leader demanded to know the status on the SIT investigation on the Telangana MLC elections case. The public lost trust in the Commissions and SITs under Chandrababu's rule, she observed.

The YSRCP spokesperson further said that the public lost faith in the police after the investigations on the Tuni incident, water leakage in the Secretariat and the Amaravati lands cases. She demanded that an independent probe be ordered in the attack on Leader of Opposition in AP Assembly and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
