Chandrababu govt. lacks financial discipline

Castigating the Chandrababu Naidu government for its extravaganza and heavy spending on publicity on one hand and stating that the Centre has failed to give the required funds on the other hand, YSR Congress has said the financial indiscipline has been the characteristic feature of TDP governance since long.Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, party MLA and PAC Chairman Buggana Rajendranath said, ‘ the budget deficit is a result of extravaganza and unproductive expenditure and the Finance Minister shifting the blame on Centre for not reimbursing the expenses is false as the government has gone beyond its limits.
The deficit budget of over Rs 16,000 crores and growing debt has been due to expenses incurred beyond the budgetary allocations for which the Centre has no responsibility to reimburse as being claimed by the Government through its friendly media. The state has been telling that Centre has not been cooperating but for more than four years, TDP was in alliance with BJP and still could not get the funds, so the excuse looks ridiculous.
The capital city formation projections were shown at a very high-end but when it comes to the central aid, the figures have come down drastically and the various schemes and government programmes turned out to be money spinners for the TDP cadre who were siphoning off major chunk of the money while huge amounts were spent on publicity, he said.
The Polavaram was a Centre project and there was no need for Chandrababu Naidu to take it over other than his trade mark kickbacks. ‘The man who boasted that he built the city of Hyderabad, the founders must be turning it their graves, could not lay a brick for Amaravthi in the 4.5 years. However, publicity has gone overseas that there has been a world class city that has come up in the capital area region while the reality has been otherwise.
Armed with the friendly media Chandrababu Naidu has been living in a makebelieve world and it is high time that he and his finance minister speak realities and down-to-earth realities, he said. The difference between eligibility for employment and actually being employed is different and the fudging of figures by the state has mixed up the two and has always been on the wrong side of prudent spending, he said.
Chandrababu Naidu has been flitting from one end to the other too frequently and there could be no match to him from times immemorial. From BJP fold he has jumped into the Congress fold telling that there has been a historical need. But when UPA Chairperson had shown more affection towards the neighbouring state, he did not question as Chandrababu Naidu has a personal and political reason to be with Congress, he said.
