Hyderabad, Dec 2: YSR Congress has flayed TDP for not taking up the demonetisation issue in the cabinet meeting but confining to land allotments and other commercial aspects while people are facing severe hardships to acquire cash from banks and ATMs.
The State instead of taking up the issue of the hardship being faced by the people in wake of the pulling out of high value notes, the cabinet has been focussed on land allotment only, part MLA G Srikanth Reddy told reporters here on Friday.
Of the 13 decisions taken half of them are on land allotments which shows the commercial agenda of the TDP government.
While farmers and people are facing serious problems and cash crunch has been very prominent, no steps have been taken to ease the burden and issue seems not to be taken up and the note on cabinet briefing does not have any mention of the burning issue, he said.
We have told that the State should exempt people from paying taxes and payments for public utilities but nothing has been done on this front, he said and the exemptions to farmers in the Rabi season was not at all discussed.
The cabinet meeting shows the indifference of the government towards the pressing problems barring the PDS issue, he said.
