YSRCP elated over YSR Kapu Nestham launch

Amaravati: There was allround jubilation over the launch of YSR Kapu Nestham programme by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday which benefits 23 lakh kapu population across the State.

Speaking to the media, Minister for Tourism Mutthamsetti Srinivas said that the Chief Minister has kept his promise given to Kapu fraternity during padayatra and thus fulfilled it by spending over Rs 4769 Crores towards the welfare of Kapu community in a span of 13 months. “Unlike the previous TDP government which  deceived Kapu’s with fake promises and our government stood by the promise and accomplished it. In the first year itself, we implemented 90 percent of the welfare activities listed in the manifesto despite falling short of finances.”

Meanwhile, addressing a press conference, MLA Ambati Rambabu flayed Chandrababu Naidu for using Kapu’s for his political mileage and challenged to discuss about the welfare activities that took place during his tenure. “Naidu vowed to spend Rs 5,000 Crore for Kapu welfare in a span of five years, but he didn’t even spend half of the amount that was promised. Our Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has spent over Rs 4769 crores in just 13 months solely for the Kapu fraternity by benefiting over 23 lakhs. Unlike Chandrababu, we didn’t appoint any Janmabhoomi committees to harass the public, but we accomplished the initiative by transferring the amount directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries. Rs 354 Crore has been deposited for Kapu women as financial assistance. For the welfare schemes alone, the State government has spent almost Rs 43,000 Crores in just one year by benefiting nearly 3.98 Crore people across the State.”

Kapu Corporation Chairman and MLA Jakkampudi Raja thank Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on behalf of the families of Kapu community for launching YSR Kapu Nestham and said Chandra babu Naidu deceived kapu Community by not implementing the promises made in the manifesto and filing false cases against them. It is Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who stood by his word given to Kapu women by depositing money directly in their unencumbered bank accounts.
