YSRCP strongly condemns arrests of former officials; Calls It political vendetta by Chandrababu’s Government

Tadepalli, May 16: YSRCP strongly condemned the arrests of former IAS officer Dhanunjaya Reddy and former government official Krishna Mohan Reddy, calling them clear acts of political vengeance and a dangerous attack on democratic institutions.
Botsa Satyanarayana, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, stated that Chandrababu Naidu is indulging in political vendetta, damaging the state's administrative systems.
He said false cases and fabricated evidence are being created, even against retired officials. Botsa pointed out that no concrete proof has been shown in the liquor case, yet arrests are being made through intimidation.
Gadikota Srikanth Reddy, former Chief Whip, said political vendetta has reached alarming levels in Andhra Pradesh. He reminded that several IAS and IPS officers were already harrased and now even retired officers are being targeted. He warned that this is not good for the state and that the arrest of sincere officials like Dhanunjaya Reddy and Krishna Mohan Reddy will not divert public attention from Chandrababu’s governance failures and unfulfilled promises.
Merugu Nagarjuna, former Minister, condemned the arrests as a brutal example of political vendetta. He accused the coalition government of forming a SIT that operates like a private army to settle political scores against the opposition. He warned that these unlawful arrests would have serious consequences and that the YSRCP will hold the government accountable.
Chelluboina Srinivasa Venugopala Krishna, YSRCP East Godavari District President and former Minister, termed the arrests undemocratic and said the coalition government is using diversion tactics to cover up its failures in delivering promises. He alleged that baseless cases are being filed not only against opposition leaders but also former officials without evidence. He expressed confidence that the people are watching and will teach the government a fitting lesson in due time.
Rachamallu Siva Prasad Reddy, former MLA, criticized the government for failing to fulfill its election promises and instead resorting to vendetta politics. He said that under the guise of a so-called "Red Book Constitution", the government is harassing both YSRCP leaders and former officials. He warned that such actions are demoralizing for the entire civil services and that no IAS or IPS officer will dare to work in Andhra Pradesh under such conditions. He expressed hope that the public will soon give a fitting response to this misrule.
