YSRCP former MP Margani Bharat
Rajahmundry, March 29: YSRCP former MP Margani Bharat has voiced alarm over Rajahmundry’s worsening situation, citing a spike in heinous crimes over the past four to five days, including harassment and assaults on women, signaling a collapse of law and order. On Pastor Praveen’s death, he criticized Minister Lokesh for prematurely labeling it an accident without the postmortem report, calling it reckless as Christian groups alleged murder, deepening public distrust.
Bharat also addressed pharmacist Anjali’s suicide, noting her suicide note revealed her ordeal, organ donation wish, and refusal to be reborn. He accused Bollineni KIMS MGM’s Deepak, with a poor track record, of evidence tampering, promising to release assault photos and demanding hospital CCTV footage. He highlighted delays in informing Anjali’s parents about her injection, uncovered only on day three.
Accusing the coalition government of deflecting blame, Bharat pointed to the FIR, filed March 23 at 11 PM, being altered, raising suspicions. He questioned the exclusion of hospital management from the FIR and Deepak’s flight after the note surfaced. TDP ties via Deepak’s uncle, an active Rajahmundry leader, hinting at a cover-up. Stressing justice over politics, he pledged to fight for the victim’s family, slamming the local MLA for lies and the government for lawlessness.
Anjali’s father recounted her collapse on March 23 at Vikas Pharmacy College, with details delayed for two days, saying, “No one should endure this.” Bharat criticized unchecked wine shops and permit rooms linked to the MLA, illegal sand mining along the Godavari, and land grabs, like the 1,300-square-yard government plot near a Honda showroom. He accused ex-corporator Koyyala Ramana of running gambling dens and warned YSRCP-led protests if unstopped.
Bharat condemned officials and representatives for failing Rajahmundry, calling it a disgrace to the Godavari region, and demanded urgent action
