Vijayawada/Ongole/Rajahmundry, May 25: YSRCP leaders stated that DSC–2025 recruitment under the Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government was riddled with large-scale irregularities, paper leak allegations, manipulation of merit lists, and corruption in sports quota appointments, demanding either a CBI probe or an inquiry by a sitting High Court judge.
Addressing separate press conferences in Vijayawada, Ongole, and Rajahmundry, former ministers Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani), Merugu Nagarjuna, and former MLA Jakkampudi Raja alleged that the government had converted a recruitment examination linked to the future of lakhs of unemployed youth into a full-fledged scam. They questioned how an SCERT contract employee who was actively involved in the DSC examination process and question paper preparation emerged as a state topper and later disappeared from the merit lists after being removed from service. They alleged that the merit list was removed from the website to suppress the scandal and that even High Court directions to release the lists were ignored by the government.
Former minister Perni Nani said the coalition government had reached a stage where even the education system was not spared from scams. He questioned why lakhs of candidates who appeared for the examination were denied access to complete rankings and merit lists. He said no competitive examination anywhere in the world is conducted without publicly releasing a merit list and accused the government of cheating unemployed youth by privately sending SMS messages only to selected candidates. He also criticised the government for disregarding High Court observations on transparency in the recruitment process.
Former MLA and YSRCP Youth Wing State President Jakkampudi Raja described DSC recruitment as another scam in Chandrababu Naidu’s long history of deceiving DSC aspirants. He alleged that fake sports certificates were used to secure teacher jobs for ineligible candidates and claimed that audio clips had surfaced showing negotiations of Rs.15 lakh to Rs.20 lakh per post under the sports quota. He questioned how a person involved in DSC question paper preparation could simultaneously write the exam and secure top ranks in Krishna district and Zone-2 TGT rankings. He further alleged that despite over 3.36 lakh candidates appearing for the examination, only a few thousand selected candidates received SMS notifications while the remaining candidates were denied transparency regarding their results and rankings.
Former minister Merugu Nagarjuna questioned whether the government conducted a “Mega DSC” or a “Mega Scam.” He alleged that the government deliberately concentrated the entire DSC process under a single official by appointing the same officer as convener for both TET and DSC examinations. He questioned why contract employees were involved in confidential examination processes such as question paper preparation and demanded answers on why the contract employee who became a topper was later removed from service if no wrongdoing had occurred. He also alleged that deserving candidates lost opportunities because only one call letter was issued even when candidates qualified for multiple posts, resulting in thousands losing jobs unfairly.
The YSRCP leaders said widespread allegations of paper leaks, deletion of data, manipulation of rankings, fake sports certificates, and financial dealings had severely compromised the credibility of DSC–2025. They demanded an immediate CBI investigation or a probe by a sitting High Court judge to uncover the truth and warned that YSRCP would stand by DSC aspirants and intensify protests if the government failed to act.
