YSRCP SC cell gears up for Sept 30 protests against medical colleges privatisation

Tadepalli, Sept 29: YSR Congress Party State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy directed district presidents, parliamentary observers, MLAs, constituency in-charges, and affiliated wing leaders to turn their focus to people’s issues. Condemning the coalition government’s move to privatize government medical colleges, he termed it a betrayal of public interest and social justice. He announced that on September 30 (Tuesday), under the leadership of the YSRCP SC Cell, statewide protests will be organized in front of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar statues across all district headquarters. He urged leaders to coordinate with Dalit organizations and social groups to make the protest a unified people’s movement against the privatization of healthcare and education.
Sajjala also instructed leaders to complete the formation of party committees by November 20, stressing that the exercise must be taken up with seriousness, discipline, and micro-level planning. He emphasized that dedicated and active cadres must be given priority.
Highlighting the successful Punganur and Madakasira models, he explained how grassroots-level committees—spanning from village to constituency—were networked into a strong structure that mobilized thousands of local leaders. Each constituency, he said, should integrate at least 8,000 leaders into the organizational framework, with 15 committees at the mandal level and 7 at the village level. Centralized data profiling will be carried out from the party headquarters, supported by workshops, IT, and social media wings.
He further announced that, as per the direction of Party President Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, party ID cards will be distributed to cadres by Sankranti once the committee formation is completed.
