YSRCP leaders Nandigama Suresh, Lella Appireddy,Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy, Merugu Nagarjuna, Marri Rajasekhar and others visited the river side to check the extent of damage.
Speaking to reporters YSRCP leaders slammed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that in the name of development he was allowing the state lands, hillocks etc., to be exploited. They expressed shock at the way acres of land were being reclaimed by filling up the river Krishna with sand bags. What the TDP government was doing was unthinkable, they said. YSRCP leaders also alleged that the TDP chief, his son Lokesh and the local MLA Devineni Uma were involved in this illegal land grabbing. They demanded that the main perpetrator behind the land fills Chukkapalli Prasad be arrested. When YSRCP comes to power, they would probe the entire matter of river filling and file cases against them, they said.
