YSRCP launches ‘Yuvata Poru’ poster

Tadepalli, March 8: YSRCP regional coordinator for combined Krishna and Guntur districts and Rajya Sabha MP Y.V. Subbareddy unveiled the ‘Yuvata Poru’ poster at the party’s central office in Tadepalli today. The event was attended by YSRCP leaders, including MLC Lella Appireddy, MLC Varudu Kalyani, SC Cell State President T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu, former MLA Malladi Vishnu, and Legal Cell State President M. Manohar Reddy.
Addressing the gathering, Subbareddy emphasized that ‘Yuvata Poru’ targets three pressing issues plaguing Andhra Pradesh’s youth, students, and unemployed population. He accused the coalition government of reneging on key promises, such as timely fee reimbursements, leading to student dropouts, and unemployment allowances, betraying the youth. He also slammed the privatization of medical colleges via the PPP model, a move he said undermines the YSRCP’s earlier efforts, launching 17 medical colleges, with five admitting students, and crushes the dreams of underprivileged aspirants. To support these groups, YSRCP will stage a statewide protest on March 12.
Subbareddy detailed that on March 12, YSRCP members, alongside students and unemployed youth, will hold dharnas outside district collectorates, followed by submitting memoranda to collectors. He criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for dismantling the Vidya Deevena scheme, which once covered full student fees, and failing to provide promised Rs. 3,000 monthly unemployment allowances or 4 lakh annual jobs. He also condemned the cancellation of medical seats at Pulivendula College and the push to privatize new medical institutions, terming it a grave injustice.
Coinciding with YSRCP’s Foundation Day on March 12, the party will celebrate before joining the ‘Yuvata Poru’ rallies. Subbareddy called on members to prepare immediately for both events.
