*YSRCP demands Atchamnaidu resignation*

Tadepalli, March 4: YSRCP has demanded thr resignation of Agriculture Minister Atchamnaidu for his unparliamentary remarks and passing uncharitable remarks on the Council Chairman and raking up caste and religion in the August house.
Speaking to media here on Wednesday, Party General Secretary Gandikota Sreekant Reddy said Chandrababu should  suspend him from the Party and such a person should not be allowed into the legislature.
Raising the issue of religion and caste and dragging the name of a person who is not in the House is ridiculous and such a person has no place in parliamentary democracy.
Srikant Reddy alleged that the ruling coalition resorted to such diversionary tactics because it could not answer questions raised in the Council regarding alleged irregularities linked to Heritage and the diversion of TTD funds under the guise of Indapur Dairy. Instead of responding to questions raised by YSRCP members, the government attempted to derail the debate by dragging the Council Chairman into the discussion and making references to religion and party affiliation. He said it was disgraceful that ministers and ruling party members repeatedly interrupted YSRCP members while they were speaking and even surrounded the podium in protest, creating an undignified situation in the House. The government, he said, should be ashamed for forcing the Chairman to publicly clarify that he does not belong to a particular religion.

Srikant Reddy stated that the behavior of the ruling party demonstrated a willingness to resort to caste and religious politics whenever circumstances were not favorable to them. He insisted that merely withdrawing the remarks would not be sufficient and demanded that Achchennaidu resign from his ministerial position and be suspended from the party. He further said that the coalition government had already drawn widespread criticism for dragging the Tirumala issue into politics and that attempts to shift public attention through divisive rhetoric would only expose the government further.
