YSRCP condemns attack on BC activist in Palnadu
25 Aug 2025 9:20 AM

Guntur, August 24: YSRCP strongly condemned the brutal attack on party activist Venkata Prasad by TDP goons in T. Annaram village of Vinukonda constituency, Palnadu district. They described the incident as a heinous attempt to murder and said it was part of a pattern where SC, ST, BC, and minority workers of YSRCP were being deliberately targeted.
YSRCP MLC Lella Appi Reddy, district working president Dr. Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy, former MLA Bolla Brahmanaidu, and several other leaders visited the Guntur Government Hospital where Venkata Prasad is undergoing treatment. They enquired about his health and assured his family of full party support.
The leaders recalled that Venkata Prasad had worked as a booth agent during the last assembly elections and prevented rigging by TDP, which led to repeated threats against him. On Saturday night, he was attacked brutally and left with severe injuries, with assailants presuming him dead.
The YSRCP leaders alleged that even hospital admission was obstructed by TDP MLA Anjaneyulu, calling it proof of the “Red Book governance” prevailing under the coalition. They demanded immediate arrest of those responsible and warned that such violent politics must stop, otherwise the people would teach TDP a fitting lesson.
