Rajahmundry, Feb 1: Condemning the attack on former minister Ambati Rambabu, YSRCP reiterated its demand to bringing to book all those who took part in the heinous attack and sought the resignation of Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking to media here on Sunday, former MLA Jakkampudi Raja said, TDP workers led by Party MLA had attacked Ambati Rambabu and destroyed the furniture and vehicles in his house with the intention to eliminate him all under the watching eyes of the police.
We demand that attempt to murder case be booked on all those who took part in the attack and those who directed and orchestrated the attack from behind and Chandrbabu Naidu who has been targeting kapu community throughout his political career should quit office as his lies in the Tirupati laddu issue were exposed.
Rambabu was one of the prominent vocal sections of the Party which has been highlighting the failures of the coalition government from time to time and this time around the bluff of Chanddrababu was called with the scientific evidence from national labs on the Tirupati laddu contamination issue.
As part of the Party programme Rambabu had participated in a programme in a temple and when he was returning TDP workers attacked him by stopping the vehicle. They then followed it by attacking him in his residence with lethal weapons while police remained mere spectators.
Chandraabu has the history of attacking prominent Kapu leaders like Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga and Mudgragada Padmanabham in the past.
All days will not remain the same and those who attacked Rambabu and those who perpetrated the offence will have to face severe consequences, he said.
