YSRCP condemns arrest of Posani, vows to fight state oppression

Ongole, Feb 27: YSRCP strongly condemned the illegal arrest of Posani Krishna Murali, a noted writer, actor, and party member, viewing it as an attack on the democratic principles enshrined in the Indian Constitution by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. General Secretary Jupudi Prabhakar warns that such actions, arresting a frail, apologetic Posani at midnight, reflect a dangerous trend of state oppression and constitutional erosion.
Posani, a supporter of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy since the "Odarpu Yatra" after Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s demise, has been vocal on public issues. YSRCP questioned the state’s motives: Is this arrest, under laws like the BNS 111 Act, meant to suppress dissent and divert attention from the ruling coalition’s unfulfilled promises like free gas cylinders, jobs, and welfare schemes? Within nine months, the coalition faces growing anti-incumbency.
YSRCP accused the coalition of perpetuating terror through false cases and arrests, citing resignations like GV Reddy’s as evidence of governmental failure. YS Jagan vows to resist this tyranny and expose the coalition’s misdeeds.
YSRCP would fight for democracy and the Constitution, urging citizens to join this collective struggle beyond party lines. Echoing Dr. Ambedkar, the party commits to educate, organize, and agitate until justice prevails.
