YSRCP bats for alternative capital

Tadepalli, April 2: YSRCP has reiterated it's proposal of considering Machilipatnam Vijayawada Guntur corridor as capital city which be economic, viable and would become a growth engine.

Speaking to media here on Thursday, former MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy said, instead of going for an extravaganza in the interiors, it would be better better to build the capital closer to national highway as suggested by our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

There is every need for a debate on the Plan B, we suggested as the capital cost would come down, it would link Vijayawada and Guntur as twin cities and will have access to Machilipatnam port.

Hyderabad is looking at Machilipatnam for port facilities while we are squandering away the natural resources for the real estate ambitions of TDP.

The capital city at Amaravati is sheer extravaganza and is meant to create wealth for Chandrababu and his coterie.
While it was declared as a self financed project where was the need for taking loans and timeline and other targets are not practical.

A debate on the alternative capital city should be held from village level to bring awareness among the people on the ongoing fraud and people of the State are being pushed into indebtedness, he said.
