*Tadepalli, July 20:* Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President *Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy* paid rich tributes to *Mahakavi Gurram Jashuva* and *Sir Arthur Cotton* on their death anniversaries, remembering their unparalleled contributions to society and the State.
Paying homage to **Gurram Jashuva**, YS Jagan said the legendary poet devoted his life to giving voice to the oppressed and marginalized through his powerful writings. He noted that Jashuva's literature, rooted in the ideals of equality, self-respect, and human dignity, continues to inspire generations and remains a guiding force for building a just and inclusive society.
Remembering *Sir Arthur Cotton*, YS Jagan described him as the visionary engineer who laid a strong foundation for Andhra Pradesh's agricultural prosperity by harnessing the waters of the Krishna and Godavari rivers. He said Cotton's farsighted irrigation projects transformed the State into a fertile land and played a pivotal role in its agricultural development.
Earlier in the day, YSRCP leaders paid floral tributes to *Mahakavi Gurram Jashuva* at a commemorative programme held at the Party Central Office in Tadepalli. The programme was attended by senior party leaders and cadre, who remembered the poet's enduring legacy and his lifelong struggle for social equality.
