YS Jagan participates in idol consecration and Kumbhabhishekam at Sri Nandeeswara Temple

Pulivendula, Feb 25: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy participated in the new idol consecration and Kumbhabhishekam ceremony at Sri Nandeeswara Temple in Nandipalli village of Vempalle mandal. The idols of Sri Parvati Devi along with Maha Nandeeswara Swamy were consecrated amid Vedic rituals and traditional ceremonies.
Temple priests and Vedic scholars conducted special pujas and homams. YS Jagan took part in the rituals wearing traditional attire and offered prayers with devotion. He later received blessings from the Vedic scholars.
Speaking on the occasion, he said temples are symbols of our culture and traditions. He stated that the path of devotion promotes peace and harmony in society. He added that development and renovation of temples in rural areas would strengthen spiritual awareness.
He congratulated temple committee chairman Maram Srikanth Reddy and members for successfully organising the event. He said the ceremony showed the unity of the villagers and wished that the blessings of Sri Nandeeswara Swamy be upon all people.
Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, YSRCP leaders, local representatives and a large number of devotees attended the programme.
