*Coalition creating artificial fuel scarcity*

Tadepalli, April 28: The coalition government has grossly failed in handling the fuel situation and has created an artificial scarcity, unmindful of the fact that all sections of people are affected.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Party Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that while there is no shortage of fuel in neighbouring states and elsewhere in the country, the state is witnessing a fuel crisis, with ‘No Stock’ boards seen across many fuel stations.
With the state facing a severe fuel shortage for the past four days, public life has come to a standstill, with diesel and petrol not being available. The transport of goods and movement of people have become difficult.
While fuel is available in Congress-ruled Telangana, the NDA coalition in Andhra Pradesh is facing a crisis, he said, adding that it is a state-created artificial crisis due to inefficiency.
The coalition is showing no interest in resolving the issue, as its priorities lie elsewhere.
The Civil Supplies Commissioner has written to oil companies to supply petrol and diesel for Amaravati works, which gives a clear picture of the artificial crisis. The letter was later withdrawn on the Centre’s recommendation.
“How can those who fail to procure diesel bring industries to the state?” he asked.
