Tadepalli, Sept 18: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met party MLAs and MLCs at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli. He gave clear directions to raise public issues strongly and to question the failures of the government.
YS Jagan said people are now asking whether there is a government in the state. Education, health and agriculture are in deep crisis. Fee reimbursement arrears have reached nearly Rs 4,900 crore, but the government has paid only Rs 900 crore. Hostel grants of Rs 4,200 crore are also pending. Schools are unable to function properly. Many programmes like Nadu–Nedu and Goru Muddha have stopped. Even small benefits like milk and snacks for children have been removed.

The health sector is also in trouble. Arogyasri payments of more than Rs 3,500 crore are pending. Hospitals are refusing treatment for poor patients. Another Rs 600 crore is due under Arogyasri support schemes. This has put people’s lives at risk.
Farmers are suffering the most. There is no supply of urea and the black market is controlling sales. Minimum support prices are not given. Free crop insurance has been cancelled. Under Annadatha Sukhibhava, farmers were supposed to get Rs 40,000 in two years, but they received only Rs 5,000.
YS Jagan said medical colleges built by the YSRCP government are public property. They provide hospitals, doctors and affordable medical seats for poor students. He accused Chandrababu Naidu of trying to sell them as private assets. He warned that privatization will harm poor people’s health care.
He also said that the government is not allowing YSRCP to function as the main opposition in the Assembly. The party is not given enough time to speak. For this reason, YSRCP will use public platforms and the media to question the government.
YS Jagan told MLCs to fight strongly in the Council. He asked them to raise every public problem, expose corruption, and protect public assets. “We must stand for the people. We will not stay silent. The government may try to stop us, but we will continue to speak for the poor,” he said.
