Tadepalli, June 24: Former Minister and YSRCP Krishna district president Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) came down heavily on the TDP-led coalition government, calling its one-year rule of deception, false promises, and financial mismanagement.
Addressing the media at the YSRCP central office, Perni Nani said the coalition has delivered nothing but betrayal, while continuing with grand publicity events and borrowing beyond control.
Nani stated that none of the welfare schemes promised by the TDP coalition have been implemented. Instead, the government borrowed over Rs 1.61 lakh crore in just one year but failed to implement even a single promise made during the elections. He mocked the recently published 30-page document claiming achievements, stating it was filled with lies and exaggerated claims about welfare and development.
He challenged Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh to an open debate on the state's debt and financial condition during their rule compared to the YS Jagan's regime. Nani clarified that despite financial constraints inherited from the TDP’s 2014–19 borrowings, YS Jagan ran a disciplined and transparent government focused on welfare. He noted that 48% of the debt incurred during Jagan’s five-year term has now been matched by the coalition in just one year.
Highlighting failures in education and healthcare, Nani said fee reimbursements and medical services have collapsed. Farmers are not receiving MSP, and DWCRA women are being harassed through forced purchases. He also pointed out rising law and order issues, misuse of police, and rampant sand and liquor mafia control by ruling party MLAs.
Perni Nani accused the government of abandoning governance, replacing YS Jagan’s people-centric model with an exploitative, event-driven, and contractor-sponsored regime that has failed the poor, students, and farmers of Andhra Pradesh.
