Vizianagaram development is zero under Chandrababu's rule

YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

Vizianagaram: The Leader of the Opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy flayed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for his failure in implementing the promises made to the district, at an election rally in Parvathipuram on Wednesday.

YS Jagan pointed out that the development in the district of Vizianagaram is equal to zero under the reign of Chandrababu. In 2014, the TDP came to power making many false promises and as elections are set to take place in two weeks, Chandrababu is once again coming up with such dramas.

YS Jagan recalled it was former Chief Minister late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy who envisioned the development of the district. It was under his rule that at the request of farmers Thotapalli project was started. The project was set to be built on a budget of Rs 450 crore out of which Rs 400 crore had been spent and 90 % of the project was completed under his reign.

However, Chandrababu government could not complete the remaining 10 % in the past five years. Under this project, a total of 1,25,000 acres should be provided with irrigation water, but not even 80,000 acres are being irrigated.

The YSRCP Chief reminded the large crowd that it was late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who started the Jambavati project keeping aside the dispute with the state of Odisha, but Chandrababu neglected the project.

YS Jagan remarked that if only Chandrababu, who is busy going around in special chartered flights had met Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, both the issues of Jambavati and Vamsadhara projects would have been completed by now.

Addressing the mammoth audience at the Parvathipuram meeting the Leader of the Opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly added that there is a drinking water problem in the Parvathipuram Municipality and the borewells in Nagavali have dried up.

The area hospital’s capacity was promised to be increased to 200 beds from the current 100 beds by Chandrababu, but this promise has not been fulfilled. As a CM Chandrababu was supposed to stand by the side of the Agrigold victims, but he is grabbing the properties along with his aides.

YS Jagan concluded the meeting by assuring the huge gathering that he had completed the 3648 km yatra with the blessings of God and support of the people. In his yatra he had heard about the issues brought to him and will resolve all of them, once voted to power.
