Vijayawada, Feb 18: Terming the fabricated case and illegal arrest of Vallabhaneni Vamsi as a reflection of deteriorating law and order in the State, YSRCP President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy warned the police to adhere to the law and not to play into the hands political bosses as they have to face the consequences in the days to come.
Speaking to the media after visiting Vamsi in the sub-jail here on Tuesday, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said Chandrababu Naidu government has misused every possible institution to fabricate false cases and coerce complainant Satyavardhan to reverse his earlier confession before judiciary and the arrest was carried out in quick succession with false charges.
Narrating the sequence of events that led to the arrest of Vamsi, YS Jagan said, that on February 11 police threatened the family members and on the next day they take a statement from his brother that Vamsi had kidnapped Satyavardhan and the following day Vamsi was arrested. The entire process is carried out by false testimonials and police are arresting people at will. The statement of Satyvardhan was taken in the evening after the arrest of Vamsi was carried out, he said.
In the case pertaining to the attack on Gannavaram TDP office, Satyavardan has given his statement in February 2023 that Vamsi was not involved and he was not present at the scene of offence and no one has abused him by his caste. He has time and again gave the same statement even after TDP government took over and reopened the case and made him A 71.
Not satisfied with the statements and the sections which can get bail, Chandrababu and his men has filed a false case accusing Vamsi of kidnapping Dalit. The sequence of event were so quick that within three days Vamsi was arrested and statement was taken from Satyavardhan after the arrest which shows the law and order situation, he said and warned the police to behave as TDP government would be there forever.

The governance in the State is by red book and this situation should fought out with false cases being filed against Nandigama Suresh, Vamsi, Nani and others.
The provocation for the case of attack on Gannavaram TDP office was the provocative remarks of K Pattabhi who abused Vamsi and on the next day, he came to Gannavaram and raised the pitch of abuse and also assaulted a Dalit sarpanch and an Inspector.
They later gathered a mob and it was about to attack YSRCP office when the retaliation started. Though we were in government, cases were registered on complaints lodged by both parties, and Satyavardhan, who was working as a computer operator signed a blank paper which was used as a complaint. He failed to come to testify before the magistrate initially and finally, when he came his statement was clear and Vamsi's name was not there.
The police are also being misused to hijack local bodies elections by kidnaps, coercion, and intimidation for the sake of minor posts like Vice Chairperson and Deputy mayor though TDP does not have seats. Elections are postponed at places where they could not carry out kidnaps which shows the state of affairs and the utter lawlessness in the State. The highhandedness is seen at Pidguguralla, Tuni, and Palakonda where democracy is mocked at.
