*YSRCP to hold BC convention on August 9*

Tadepalli, July 23: The YSR Congress Party will organise a massive BC Convention in Vijayawada on August 9 to highlight the issues faced by Backward Classes and present the party’s vision of social justice under the leadership of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Announcing the programme at the YSRCP Central Office in Tadepalli, former Ministers Jogi Ramesh, Vidadala Rajini, Chelluboyina Venu Gopala Krishna and MLC Ramesh Yadav said the convention would bring together BC leaders from across the State to discuss policies affecting the community and strengthen the movement for BC empowerment.

The leaders said the convention would focus on the promises made to BCs before the elections and the status of their implementation over the past two years. They said YSRCP would also present the welfare measures, social justice initiatives and empowerment programmes implemented during the Y.S. Jagan government, emphasising that BCs were treated as the backbone of the State’s development through targeted welfare schemes, representation and institutional support.

They stated that the convention would discuss issues including welfare schemes, education, employment, fee reimbursement, self-employment assistance, BC corporations, local body reservations and financial allocations for Backward Classes. The party leaders said district-wise and constituency-wise issues affecting BC communities would also be placed before the people.

The leaders reaffirmed YSRCP’s commitment to protecting the dignity, rights and interests of Backward Classes and said the August 9 convention would serve as a platform to unite BC communities and strengthen the fight for social justice. They expressed confidence that the programme would mobilise large-scale participation from BC leaders, public representatives and people from across Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
