TDP using Tirumala for political gains

Tadepalli, Dec 26: YSRCP has warned the coalition and TTD Board not to use Tirumala for political gains. Speaking to the media here on Friday, former Minister Vellampalli Srinivas said people are scared to visit Tirumala for its shoddy administration. While last year's stampede was still fresh in the minds of people the lopsided policy of issuing tickets for Metla darshan at Alipiri has caused another commotion. There was no need to shift the counter knowing very well that there would be a huge rush in the wake of the extended holiday.

TTD Board is unable to handle even the smallest issue and the coalition is not bothered about devotees, he said. Devotees are scared to visit Tirumala due to such faulty policy decisions. Ever since the coalition took over there has been disaster after disaster while TTD and Chandrababu have been showing scant respect to the Lord or the convenience of devotees.

They have been trying to project the previous government in poor light by bringing up the laddu issue despite Court structures and the Parakamani episode, though it was YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who introduced technology which enabled the theft to come to light. The government and TTD should stop using Tirumala for political gains and work for providing better amenities to devotees, he said.
