*YS Jagan assures justice to dalit student Supriya over police atrocities*

Tadepalli, April 7: Supriya, a Nursing student from Pamarru in Krishna district, along with her parents, met Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the party's central office.
Supriya explained that when she questioned the false implication of her father in a case, Pamarru CI Shubakar and SI Bhaskar summoned her to the police station, where she was brutally assaulted. When she later approached Krishna District Collector Balaji through the grievance system to seek justice, her complaint was handed back to the police, following which the same police officials registered a case against her under Section 307 and sent her to remand.
She was subsequently released on bail. Supriya stated that the police acted in favour of local TDP leader Ganesh and subjected her family to severe harassment. Her uncle Yakobu’s house was set on fire by Ganesh and her family has been targeted ever since the coalition government came to power, solely because they have been actively working for the YSR Congress Party.
YS Jagan strongly condemned the attempt-to-murder case against a Dalit nursing student and her remand, calling it a grave injustice. He assured that the YSRCP legal cell would provide all necessary legal assistance to Supriya and directed Pamarru YSRCP in-charge Kaile Anil Kumar to take the issue to the National SC Commission and the National Human Rights Commission. He also assured that a private case would be filed in the High Court against CI Shubakar and SI Bhaskar to ensure justice. Reiterating that the party stands firmly with Supriya’s family, YS Jagan assured full support until justice is delivered. Supriya’s parents Arogyam and Jujjuvarapu Chinni, along with her uncle Yakobu, were present during the meeting.
