*SIR has no transparency*

Kadapa, June 17: Affirming that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in the State is full of mistakes, YSRCP has said the sole aim of the exercise is to delete the names of Opposition party sympathizers and cadre.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, former Deputy Chief Minister Amjad Basha and former MLA S. Raghurami Reddy said there is a conspiracy to delete the names of YSRCP sympathizers in the garb of SIR.

The 2002 voters list is a blunder-ridden document as it does not have the name of the MLA itself, and how can its authenticity be vouched for, they questioned.

The government is targeting villages and mandals where YSRCP has a strong presence and deleting names indiscriminately.

The names of my family members and villagers are missing from the voters list, the former MLA said. Though we are staying in the same house, our names are missing from the voters list, which shows the exercise is a flawed one and has a hidden agenda.

Some of the door numbers are missing from the 2002 voters list.

The SIR process is not being carried out in a transparent manner as the Opposition is being targeted.

BLOs are not going house to house for enumeration and they do not have the knowledge to fill the forms in many cases.

We demand that a revised 2002 voters list be issued to correct the SIR process, they said.
