Paritala Sunitha behind YSRCP activist’s murder

March 31: Former YSRCP MLA Topudurthi Prakash Reddy has condemned the brutal murder of YSRCP activist Kuruba Lingamayya in Papireddipalli, Anantapur, alleging it was orchestrated by TDP MLA Paritala Sunitha with the support of SI Sudhakar. He accused the police of shielding the six perpetrators, enabling lawlessness under what he termed “Lokesh’s Red Book Constitution.”
Prakash Reddy linked the murder to the Ramagiri mandal MPP by-election, where YSRCP held eight MPTC seats against TDP’s one. He alleged that TDP resorted to threats and police-backed intimidation to prevent YSRCP from securing the post. Despite court-ordered police protection, SI Sudhakar reportedly facilitated intimidation by video-calling Paritala Sunitha and her son Sriram. When YSRCP MPTC members couldn't attend the election due to threats, it was postponed. Later, SI Sudhakar allegedly forced them into a bind-over and attempted to hand them over to TDP goons.
On March 27, Prakash Reddy claimed Paritala Sriram incited TDP goons to instill fear, leading to violent attacks. On March 30, Lingamayya, who opposed these assaults, was killed, and his sons injured. Though his family named six attackers—Adarsh, Manoj, Narsimha, Navakanth, Ramesh, and Suresh—police registered an FIR against only two, allegedly coercing the victim’s wife into signing statements under duress.
Prakash Reddy denounced the police for acting under Paritala Sunitha’s influence, suppressing justice, and violating constitutional rights. He demanded accountability for the murder and an end to the lawlessness in Anantapur.
