Overflowing public support for YS Jagan unnerves the alliance

Hyderabad, 20 November: YSRCP General Secretary and State Official Spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar Rao strongly condemned the malicious campaign unleashed by the TDP-led Alliance and yellow media following the massive public turnout during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Hyderabad visit. Speaking at Somajiguda Press Club, he said the unprecedented crowd that gathered to welcome YS Jagan has triggered envy and panic among alliance leaders, leading them to invent false stories and distort facts.
Jupudi clarified that YS Jagan appeared before the CBI court strictly as per court directions, which required him to attend after returning from his London visit. As a former Chief Minister enjoying Z-category security, his travel schedule must be officially disclosed, including flight timings, travel routes, and arrival details. Yet, the yellow media twisted these routine disclosures into false narratives, even spreading fabricated stories about chartered flights and imaginary costs. He said this behavior is nothing but an extension of the alliance’s undemocratic mindset and an attempt to malign a leader who commands immense public affection.
He recalled that after Dr. YSR’s demise, when YS Jagan visited the families of those who died mourning the late leader, both Congress and TDP colluded to file politically motivated cases against him, cases he fought like a mountain of resilience. Despite 16 months of imprisonment, the people’s movement turned into a tidal wave that brought him to power in 2019. During 2019–24, YS Jagan delivered people-centric, transformative governance that benefited the poor, farmers, students, women, and all marginalized sections. The public is fully aware of the revolutionary changes brought through programs like family doctors, village health clinics, RBKs, and doorstep services.
Jupudi said the alliance government has been an utter failure in its 18 months of rule, abandoning development and welfare, privatizing government hospitals and medical colleges out of inefficiency, and launching attacks on YSRCP leaders and social media activists. Cases, arrests, and harassment are being used to silence voices questioning the government’s failures. Constitutional governance has collapsed, and “Red Book Rule” has taken over the state.
He asserted that YS Jagan remains a charismatic, magnetic people’s leader, and the overwhelming crowds in Hyderabad once again proved his unshaken mass appeal. Unable to digest this love, the yellow media has intensified its vicious propaganda. He warned them to stop this toxic behavior and respect democratic values. The public is disgusted with the alliance’s deliberate distortion of YS Jagan’s court appearance and politically motivated commentary that disrespects judicial institutions.
Jupudi said the alliance is rattled by intelligence reports indicating rising public support for YS Jagan. Even alliance leaders privately admit that the wind is shifting. People regret electing the coalition and are ready to reject its conspiracies and failures at the first opportunity. He concluded that elections may come at any moment, but whenever they do, the people will decisively stand with YS Jagan and restore justice by defeating the alliance’s deceitful politics.
