No safety to women

Tadepalli, Dec 31: YSRCP has affirmed that the coalition government has totally failed in protecting women and minors and has grossly failed in maintaining law and order in the State. 
Speaking to media here on Wednesday, MLC Varudu Kalyani said with liquor being available round he clocks, there is no safety to women  and the police institution has degraded with political dictates.
The government failed to take corrective measured despite warning from the Centre in Visakhapatnam district the ganja cases have increased by 213 percent and drugs cases have increased, irrespective of DIG claims, she said.
There are 1450 sexual harassment cases and Communist leader Penchaliah was murdered when he was protesting against drugs. 
The coalition has failed to fulfill any of the pre- election promises given to women and no section of the society is safe or happy, she said and questioned the extravaganza of the government while not implementing any of the promises made for women welfare. 
The coalition has done injustice even to Kankadurga by cutting the power to the temple, she said adding that the women ministers have taken up the task to criticize YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as a single point agenda. 
While Home Minister as busy in giving parole to rowdy elements, while another minister has been busy in safeguarding the interests of her PA while the third one is trying to create wealth in sewing machine scam, she said.
The year ended on a disastrous not with the government failing to provide safety to women.
