*Naidu govt bulldozes property with Political Vendetta: Bhumana Abhinay Reddy*

Tirupati, July 23: YSRCP Tirupati Constituency Coordinator Bhumana Abhinay Reddy charged that the coalition government was targeting opposition leaders’ family properties to silence their political voice. Addressing the media at the party’s city office, he condemned the demolition of the compound wall surrounding his family’s nine-acre agricultural land at Tiruchanur, purchased nearly 24 years ago.

Abhinay Reddy said the land contained only mango trees and no concrete structures, but the government was now portraying it as part of a riverbed. He said the family had approached the court after receiving an earlier notice and sought survey records and evidence supporting the government’s claim. Though the court directed the Revenue Department to provide the relevant documents, no explanation or report was furnished.

Despite this, officials entered the private property without prior notice, accompanied by the RDO, MRO, DSP, Circle Inspectors and hundreds of police personnel, demolished the compound wall and installed a board declaring it government land. He said the action was intended to silence former MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, who continues to question the government’s failures.

Abhinay Reddy questioned why the same urgency was not shown towards the Heritage wastewater treatment plant located in Survey No. 173 near Survey No. 185 in the Swarnamukhi river area, which he said fell within the buffer zone. He asked whether officials had the courage to apply the same law to a company linked to the Chief Minister’s family.

He said the family would continue its legal battle and place all facts before the court. Declaring that destruction of their properties would not silence them, he said YSRCP would intensify its fight against the government’s failures. He demanded equal application of law, warning that selective enforcement would prove that the State was following a “Red Book Constitution” rather than constitutional governance.
