*YSRCP calls statewide Youth rallies on July 28*

Tadepalli, July 23: The YSRCP Youth and Student Wings will organise protest rallies at all district headquarters on July 28 against the Chandrababu Naidu Government’s betrayal of students and unemployed youth, party leaders announced on Wednesday.

YSRCP Youth Wing State President Jakkampudi Raja said Chandrababu had failed to honour his election promises to the youth and had ignored serious irregularities in the Mega DSC recruitment process. He said the Government had promised unemployment allowance until jobs were provided, but had accumulated dues running into thousands of crores. Despite YSRCP placing evidence of manipulation and lack of transparency in Mega DSC before the public, the Government had refused to order an impartial inquiry. He demanded a CBI investigation into the recruitment process.

Student Wing State President Panuganti Chaitanya said students were being forced to discontinue their education and take up work because the Government had failed to clear fee reimbursement dues. He demanded immediate payment of the arrears, action against those responsible for the NEET paper leak and justice for all affected students.

Student Wing Working President Ravichandra questioned why top-ranking candidates were denied appointments and said serious irregularities had taken place in merit, reservation and Sports Quota selections. He also questioned why gold medallist Durgayya was denied a job despite the rules governing Sports Quota recruitment.

The leaders called upon students, unemployed youth and their families to participate in large numbers in the July 28 rallies. They said the protests would demand a CBI probe into Mega DSC irregularities, clearance of fee reimbursement dues, accountability in the NEET issue and fulfilment of all promises made to the youth.
