Naidu branding protesting farmers as criminals.

YSRCP condemns vilifying farmers

Narasaraopet, July 10: Former MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy, speaking at his camp office in Narasaraopet, critiqued the coalition government and yellow media outlets for labeling protesting farmers as “anti-social elements” and comparing them to notorious criminals like the “Dandupalya gang.” Mahesh expressed outrage at Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s administration for failing to provide minimum support prices, driving farmers to protest, only to be met with derogatory remarks from coalition leaders and amplified by biased “yellow media.” “Is CM Naidu saying that anyone who takes to the streets against injustice will be branded this way?” Mahesh questioned sharply. Naidu is treating farmers with contempt while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stands with them, wiping their tears with compassion.

Mahesh reiterated that no amount of intimidation can stop Jagan from championing public issues. “Jagan fights for the people, not for power or positions. He will continue this battle until the government fulfills its promises,” he asserted, emphasizing that Jagan’s resolve remains unshaken despite restrictions, police threats, house arrests, and barricades blocking roads to Bangarupalyam. Mahesh highlighted the hypocrisy of media narratives, noting that while outlets like Andhra Jyothi claim Jagan’s tours lack public support, Minister Achchennaidu admits thousands of farmers attend his rallies. “They can’t stick to one lie. Despite all obstacles, farmers flock to Jagan, proving his strength and their desperation,” he said, slamming sensational headlines that falsely portray Jagan as inciting violence against police.

The former MLA also exposed Naidu’s governance failures, pointing to public dissatisfaction with his unfulfilled “Super Six” promises. “People curse Naidu for betraying their trust. He promised to implement Jagan’s schemes and create wealth, but has stabbed the public in the back,” Mahesh charged. Naidu is deflecting blame onto MLAs and ministers, who face public backlash during outreach programs, with some sending family members to face constituents instead. Mahesh ridiculed Naidu’s cabinet outbursts against ministers while he takes credit for rebranded schemes like Ammavodi, now called Thalli ki Vandanam. “Naidu lies to children, claiming Lokesh invented it, while schemes like Rs. 99 liquor, weekly loans, and sand looting thrive. Who devised those?” he demanded.

Mahesh urged the government to stop propaganda and focus on implementing election promises. “Farmers are suffering, and the public is restless under Naidu’s rule. Instead of slandering us as thieves or rogues, deliver on your commitments,” he said. He praised YS Jagan’s unwavering commitment, stating, “In or out of power, with 151 seats or 11, Jagan will never stop questioning injustice. The coalition cannot silence him, no matter how many hurdles they create.”
