Home Minister failed as law and order collapsed

Visakhapatnam, April 9: MLC Varudu Kalyani slammed Home Minister Anitha for failing in her role, declaring law and order dead under the coalition government. Speaking in Visakhapatnam, she blasted Anitha for chasing political attacks over public safety, accusing the TDP-led coalition of turning police into a vendetta tool, gutting law enforcement.
Kalyani tore into Anitha for targeting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, dismissing him as "Pulivendula MLA" while ignoring his stature as a former Chief Minister and loved leader and failing to stop 72 daily attacks on women. She highlighted a sub-inspector’s jab at Jagan as proof of police politicization.
She contrasted YSRCP’s strong security for opposition leaders with the coalition’s failure to protect Jagan, citing Papireddipalle, where 1,100 police were claimed but none guarded him, only blocked supporters—and Anitha’s clueless criticism over a damaged helicopter.
Kalyani charged the coalition with making police TDP "watchmen" for Chandrababu, not law enforcers, backing Jagan’s warning they’d face court and lose uniforms. She said Jagan upheld police honor, now trashed by the regime, citing their by-election meddling and a YSRCP leader’s murder in Ramagiri.
She hammered Anitha’s neglect of women’s safety, ignoring a deadly Visakhapatnam attack and a Kancharapalem rape, while shielding TDP and Janasena’s Adimoolam and Kiran Royal amid harassment cases, and letting liquor and ganja flood Payakaraopeta. Kalyani demanded justice and security, not games.
