Devineni Uma's remarks decried

Lambasting TDP leader Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao for his derogatory comments, Minister for Water Resources Anil Kumar Yadav said no development work has been done in the past five years of TDP rule. 'It was the great leader YS Rajasekhara Reddy who was behind all the projects in the state,' he said.

Talking to media here on Wednesday, he said the previous TDP government has looted money alloted for irrigation projects and has not completed at least 30 per cent of Polavaram Project works.

'Uma was afraid of his irregularities, that is why he is talking as he like,' he said and questioned 'how much amount was spent on Polavaram project in the first three years of TDP rule?'

He said the Polavarm project would be completed by 2021. All the projects in the state would be completed in five years. 'We are inviting tenders for North Andhra Sujala Sravathi,' he added.

He also said everyone in Vijayawada is aware of the fact how Uma entered politics after a murder. TDP is known for looting.
