*Unable to answer public questions, Govt resorting to oersonal attacks: Jupudi*

Tadepalli, May 22: YSRCP General Secretary and official spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakar Rao said the Chandrababu Naidu government has failed on every front during its two years in power and is now resorting to personal attacks against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy because it has no answers to growing public dissatisfaction. Speaking at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, he said YS Jagan’s five-year governance became a benchmark for the country by implementing 99% of manifesto promises and delivering welfare even during the Covid crisis, while the present government has weakened every institution in the state.

Jupudi said the coalition government has failed to implement election promises, pushed the state deeper into debt, stopped welfare schemes introduced during the YSRCP regime and unleashed political vendetta against opposition leaders and activists. He alleged that false cases, arrests, intimidation and harassment through social media notices have become routine under the present administration. He said the government is unable to counter the issues being raised by YS Jagan on corruption, governance failures, welfare cuts and rising public hardship, and is therefore indulging in abusive criticism and character assassination.
He stated that the growing public discussion around YS Jagan’s “Mavigan” alternative capital proposal has further rattled the ruling party, exposing its inability to defend Amaravati financially or administratively. He accused Chandrababu Naidu of trying to divert attention through propaganda instead of addressing people’s concerns. Jupudi also alleged that Chandrababu has a history of encouraging conspiracy and vendetta politics while falsely accusing YSRCP of violence. He said YS Jagan never misused power or promoted revenge politics and instead focused on welfare, education, healthcare and agriculture reforms.
The YSRCP leader said Chandrababu promised better welfare and development than the YSRCP government before elections, but after coming to power failed to even implement key “Super Six” promises. He questioned what happened to the massive borrowings made by the government despite there being neither visible development nor functioning welfare programmes. He asserted that YSRCP will continue to raise public issues strongly and warned the government against trying to silence opposition voices through intimidation and false propaganda.
