Tadepalli, March 6: Former Minister Ambati Rambabu criticized the coalition government for failing to address former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s detailed queries on the state budget.
Speaking in Tadepalli, he accused the government of lacking courage, resorting to false development claims, and deceiving people with underfunded schemes like Super Six while plundering revenue through mining, liquor, and sand mafias. Rambabu slammed CM Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh for lying about state debts to dodge accountability.
He noted that Super Six, needing over Rs. 80,000 crore, was allocated just Rs. 17,179 crore, betraying voters. Schemes like ‘Aadabidda Nidhi’ (Rs. 18,000/year unpaid), ‘Talliki Vandanam’ (Rs. 15,000/child unspent), and ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’ (Rs. 20,000/farmer, funded Rs. 6,300 crore vs. Rs. 7,200 crore needed) expose this deceit.
For Talliki Vandanam, only Rs. 8,278 crore was allocated against Rs. 13,050 crore required. He highlighted the discontinuation of four lakh pensions in nine months, compared to 66 lakh under YSRCP, and criticized Rs. 26,000 crore borrowing for the “self-financed” Amaravati project, with Rs. 6,000 crore budgeted.
Rambabu called TDP a father-son party and Janasena a brothers’ party, accusing Pawan Kalyan of reckless remarks and nepotism in appointing his brother Nagababu as MLC and minister. He labeled Minister Nadendla Manohar a “PDS rice thief” for ration corruption, questioning his credibility. Defending YS Jagan’s self-made rise, Rambabu accused Chandrababu of past misdeeds, citing NT Rama Rao, Harikrishna, and Nara Rammurthy Naidu’s “souls” as witnesses. He warned that the coalition’s evasion of budget questions signals a lack of transparency, risking the state’s future unless checked by elections.
