Undavalli: Speaking on the second day of the Collectors Conference 2019 Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had expressed outrage over the Call Money sex racket which shook the State. Women who took loans were made to pay high interests and when they were unable to clear the loans, they were forced into prostitution. In a grim tone, the CM said that poor women were forced into it and their videos were taken and circulated.
He clearly ordered the district police chiefs to take action against anyone who was involved in this racket .“Do not spare anyone or any party in the Call Money sex racket," he said. The police system must be cleansed completely. If anyone complains, take immediate action. Such incidents are very rampant in Vijayawada, he said.
Speaking about good governance and inclusivity, the CM said that police administration and the elected MLAs should work in tandem. Like in the Western countries, good practices and effective governance should be in place if the State Police has to be the number one in the country. He also asked the Police to relax and start their day with a smile. "Greet the people with a smile and make them feel comfortable,"" was his word of advice for them.
