Chandrababu’s falsehood on Srivani trust exposed

Tirupati, Sept 26: Former TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy strongly condemned the malicious campaign being spread by Chandrababu Naidu and his allies against the SRIVANI Trust. He stated that allegations claiming “SRIVANI funds were diverted to Tadepalli” are nothing but false propaganda deliberately designed to mislead devotees.
Karunakar Reddy clarified that the SRIVANI Trust was established to construct temples across the nation with special darshan tickets priced at Rs. 10,000, an initiative launched under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership. “Not a single rupee was mobilized for SRIVANI during Chandrababu’s regime, but under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government, over Rs. 20,380 crore has been deposited into the Trust since 2019. It was only because of Jagan Mohan Reddy that this Trust flourished,” he asserted.
He highlighted that 3,500 temples were completed during the YSRCP rule, including the renovation of 300 ancient shrines. “Had Jagan continued in power, one lakh temples would have been established across the country through SRIVANI,” he said. The funds have been utilized transparently, temples have already been built in Srinagar, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam, and even 10 acres of land worth Rs. 1,000 crore was allotted in Navi Mumbai for temple construction.
Criticizing Chandrababu’s rhetoric of demanding a CBI probe, Karunakar Reddy said, “The very trust you once criticized is now being glorified. Stop spreading venom against SRIVANI when the facts clearly prove YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s contribution to strengthening Sanatana Dharma.” He also denounced proposals to introduce artificial intelligence inside the temple to manage darshan, calling it a violation of Agama Shastra and warning it would make a satisfying darshan impossible.
Lashing out at the opposition, he said Balakrishna’s irresponsible remarks and history of unruly behavior are well documented, even acknowledged in books authored by his own brother-in-law, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao. He reminded that the late YSR had personally helped Balakrishna in the past, yet gratitude has been replaced by intoxicated outbursts.
Karunakar Reddy further exposed the hypocrisy of Chandrababu and his allies: “While TDP talks about crushing dissent with an iron foot, illegal granite transport flourishes without permissions, and Jana Sena activists have been caught with 100 kilos of ganja in Kuppam. Pawan Kalyan must answer to this before lecturing on Sanatana Dharma.”
Reiterating YSRCP’s stand, he concluded: “Accept the good that Jagan Mohan Reddy has done. The SRIVANI Trust is a living testimony to his vision for temple development and protection of dharma. Baseless accusations will not erase this reality.”
