Dsc publicity stunt, Balakrishna a real psycho: YSRCP

Machilipatnam, Sept 26: YSRCP has termed the mega DSC as a major publicity stunt and slammed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for betraying job aspirants with hollow promises.

Speaking to media here on Friday, former minister Perni Nani said Chandrababu has cheated the unemployed youth under the so-called mega DSC. Instead of keeping his pre-poll promise of filling 25,000 posts, he turned it into a publicity event and gave only 15,941 posts, out of which 6,100 teacher posts were already cleared by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government. He said this deception clearly exposes Naidu’s event-management style politics.

On the raging Assembly controversy, Nani launched a blistering attack on Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, calling him a real psycho. He said Balakrishna deliberately sparked the row with derogatory remarks on former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. “It was YS Rajasekhar Reddy who once saved Balakrishna in a critical situation, but today he shamelessly hurls insults at Jagan. He even stopped the construction of Basavatarakam hospital in the state after Jagan came to power, which shows his shallow and jealous mindset,” Nani said.

He also questioned the hypocrisy of the coalition government: “If regulating films under Jagan’s rule was wrong, why did Chandrababu’s coalition not scrap the GO even after coming to power?”

On the DSC issue, Nani said there are still 27,409 vacant teacher posts but no weightage was given to contract teachers. Aspirants selected for multiple posts were denied options, question paper errors were ignored, and the promise of a job calendar and unemployment stipend remains unfulfilled. “Just like farmers and other sections, the youth too have been cheated,” he said.
