Naidu’s mega DSC turns into mega betrayal

Tadepalli, September 25: YSRCP Employees and Pensioners Wing President Nalamarru Chandrasekhar Reddy slammed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for cheating unemployed youth and employees in the name of “Mega DSC.” He said the coalition government promised 25,000 teacher posts before elections but delivered only 16,000, exposing betrayal, false propaganda, and anti-employee policies.
Speaking at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, Chandrasekhar Reddy said Naidu’s much-hyped “Mega DSC” has turned into a “Daga DSC.” Instead of filling 25,000 teacher posts as promised, the notification included only 16,341 posts, of which 6,000 had already been cleared by the previous YSRCP government. “The coalition wasted 16 months and is now projecting routine recruitment as a grand achievement,” he said.
He criticised the government for turning the recruitment into a propaganda show by organising a huge event in Velagapudi to distribute appointment letters. “These are not favours from Naidu. These are the rights of candidates. In Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government, 1.37 lakh jobs were filled transparently in just four months without such publicity stunts,” he reminded.
Pointing to irregularities, he cited cases where selected candidates were later told they did not qualify, proving that even the merit list was mishandled. He also accused Naidu of politicising every recruitment and transfer.
On employees’ issues, Chandrasekhar Reddy said promises of PRC, DA arrears, retirement benefits, and health card renewals remain unfulfilled. “Over Rs 30,000 crore dues are pending, but Naidu shows no concern. Instead, he is punishing village and ward secretariat staff appointed under Jagan’s tenure,” he said.
Warning the government, he declared that if demands are not addressed before Dasara, employees and pensioners will be forced to take up statewide agitation.
