Chandrababu’s claim of global support ridiculed

Amaravathi: While Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was forging ahead with planning for the decentralised development of the state, it was ridiculous on the part of Chandrababu Naidu to take up Save Amaravati agitation as an international issue, confining just to 20 villages and abandoning the rest of the state, said YSRCP.

Speaking to media persons on Saturday, Minister Kurasala Kannababu said that Telugu Desam leaders are unleashing a venomous tirade against the government only to show their existence and create uncertainty across the State and questioned Naidu Why he didn’t build Amaravati in his five-year rule and opposing executive capital in Visakhapatnam and judicial capital in Kurnool.

Minister Kannababu said that Chandrababu had spent Rs 800 Crore for the designs of capital buildings, but he failed to provide the benefits promised to those farmers who gave up their lands for capital. "Naidu turned like a real estate agent and distributed the valuable lands to his close aids and Singapore consortium, leaving nothing for the farmers. He should answer the public the real reason to oppose executive capital in Visakhapatnam and Judicial capital in Kurnool? Is Naidu not concerned about the development of these backward regions?” said Minister Kannababu

Meanwhile, Minister Sriranganatha Raju said that Chandrababu Naidu is least bothered about the development of backward regions North Andhra and Rayalaseema, and during the TDP regime,  he very much neglected these regions with no growth. According to expert committee reports, in order to provide equal opportunities for people from all regions, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy brought this idea of decentralisation.

“Despite being a native of Rayalaseema region, Naidu never concerned about the development, and today he is further opposing the State government’s move of decentralisation, which would benefit both North Andhra and Rayalaseema. Chandrababu Naidu turned like a real estate agent during his regime and he is a lot more worried about his real estate business than the State priorities. He cannot cheat the public with his political stunts, as people are already rejecting him.” said Minister Dharmana Krishnadas.

Speaking to the media at Visakhapatnam, Gudivada MLA Amarnath said that Naidu is against the development of North, Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. People did not believe in the graphics capital that Naidu projected as Amaravati to cater to the needs of his own coterie and this was evident by the way people of Amaravati rejected the TDP candidates there.

Joining the rebuttal on TDP leaders' protests at multiple locations, YSRCP leaders slammed TDP for these agitations under the disguise of farmers and reiterated that Chandrababu Naidu is confined for the 20 villages and least bothered about the North Andhra and Rayalaseema regions.
