Tadepalli, Feb 13: YSRCP MLA Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar said Andhra Pradesh was moving towards decline under the coalition government and stated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had turned governance into a system driven by money and influence.
Speaking to the media at the party central office in Tadepalli, he said the Chief Minister’s speech in the Assembly during the debate on the Governor’s address contained false claims.
Chandrasekhar said promises such as lakhs of jobs had no proof on the ground. He challenged the government to show even a single genuine appointment and details of beneficiaries. He also said that while the leadership spoke about eliminating rowdyism, many such elements were being welcomed into the ruling party.
Referring to the Tirumala laddu ghee issue, Chandrasekhar said the controversy was being used as a diversion. He said decisions were meant to benefit Heritage-linked interests through Indapur Dairy at a rate of Rs 658 per kg. He added that material emerging from investigative records did not match the political narrative being circulated.
The MLA further said irregularities were visible in sand and liquor policies. Check posts and collections were placing burdens on common people while state revenues were declining, he stated.
Chandrasekhar said welfare and development initiatives during the tenure of Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had strengthened systems, whereas the present administration was weakening them.
He asked the ruling coalition to stop misinformation, give clear answers to the public, and keep politics away from temples and faith.
