Chandrababu has no right to speak about R’seema

Ananthapur, July 19: Former minister Sake Sailajanath lambasted Chandrababu Naidu for his false claims and stated that he has no right to talk about Handri-Neeva project as it was he who reduced its capacity and has done nothing for the district.
Speaking to media here on Saturday, he said, it was Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who worked for irrigation projects to benefit Rayalaseema region. Chandrababu, who usurped the party and leadership from NTR, failed to continue the projects like Telugu Ganga and others.
Rubbishing the tall claims of Chandrababu at a programme to release water of Handri-Neeva at Mallayala, Sailajanath said it is shameful on his part to take credit for a project which he tried to undermine. He reduced the capacity from 40 TMC to a mere 5 TMC for drinking water during his previous tenure and for the nine years he was in office nothing was done.
It was YSR who converted Handri-Neeva into an irrigation project and brought 3,850 cusecs of water, he said, adding that CAG reports have vouched for irregularities and corruption during Chandrababu’s term.
It was YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who had taken up the irrigation cause of Rayalaseema while Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to talk about Handri-Neeva project or development of any districts of the region, which has been consistently neglected and cheated by TDP time and again.
The talk of developing Ananthapur has no credence as his priorities were always different. The High Court at Kurnool and Law College were shifted to Amaravati which speaks of his priorities, he said.
