Audio leak exposes liquor nafia run by TDP Leaders in Rajahmundry

Rajahmundry, Oct 16: Former MP Margani Bharat exposed a major liquor syndicate operating under the protection of the ruling coalition in Rajahmundry and demanded immediate criminal action. Addressing the media, he released an audio clip that reveals a conversation involving Rajahmundry TDP City President Majji Rambabu discussing liquor syndicate operations under the direction of local MLA Adireddy Vasu. Bharat said the audio proves discussions on liquor price hikes, illegal belt shops, bribes to excise officials, and even agreements on ₹100 bond papers to formalise the illegal business.
Bharat said the syndicate has a clear structure, deciding in advance which shops will face cases, how fines will be collected and shared, and how enforcement officers will be influenced to protect the racket. He alleged that excise officials were also being made partners in crime. Demanding strict accountability, he urged the government to expel the accused ruling party leaders, register non-bailable cases under Sections 37A and 39 of the AP Excise Act, and take action under BNS Sections 274 and 276 for bribery and conspiracy. He said while the previous YSRCP government shut down belt shops and controlled illicit liquor, the current coalition has turned Andhra Pradesh into a hub of liquor corruption and spurious liquor trade. Bharat warned that the YSRCP will wage a legal battle and submit the audio evidence to police, demanding the arrest of all those involved, including the MLA behind the syndicate.
