*Adulteration under coalition rule: YSRCP slams govt over milk tragedy in Rajamahendravaram*

Rajamahendravaram, Feb 24: YSR Congress Party leaders said that adulteration has become routine under the coalition government and said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has lost control over governance. After visiting victims who fell ill due to adulterated milk in East Godavari district, they addressed the media and expressed serious concern over public health failures.

Former ministers Vidadala Rajini, Seediri Appalaraju, Chelluboyina Venu Gopala Krishna and Taneti Vanitha, former MP Margani Bharat, former MLAs Jakkampudi Raja and Talari Venkata Rao, and party leader Dr. Guduru Srinivas participated in the visit. They said that in 20 months of coalition rule, 36 such incidents were reported across the state, with over 900 people hospitalized and nearly 40 children losing their lives.
The leaders said diarrhea outbreaks in government hostels have become common and accused the health department of complete failure. They questioned whether the Health Minister is actively monitoring the situation and alleged that the Food Safety department has stopped functioning effectively.
Demanding justice, they called for Rs. 25 lakh compensation to families of the deceased. They said the government must bear all medical expenses of the victims and reimburse those who have already paid hospital bills. They alleged that private hospitals are charging lakhs of rupees while government hospitals lack basic facilities.

The leaders urged the government to stop diversion politics, order a comprehensive probe, punish those responsible, and ensure proper medical care and support to all affected families.
