Vijayamma mocks at Naidu’s Mr. Clean claim

Congress Party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma described TDP president
Chandrababu Naidu’s Padayatra as a big political drama and asked people not to
believe his promises.

Addressing a huge
public meeting at Khammam on Monday, Vijayamma said Naidu has been greatly
claiming that nothing has been proved despite filing of 35 cases against him.
“Which court has given you Mr. Clean certificate?” She asked Naidu. “How can
you claim yourself to be Mr. Clean when you have been getting stay orders from courts
in each and every case?”

Reminding the people
that Tehelka.com described Naidu as the most corrupt politician in 2002,
Vijayamma said Naidu had allotted 800 acres to IMG-Bharata at a cheap rate of
Rs.50,000 per acre during TDP regime. “Besides entrusting KG Basin Gas to the
Reliance during his regime, Naidu also allotted 535 acres to Emmar at cheap
rates,” she said, adding while CBI quickly acted on Jagan Mohan Reddy case and
arrested him, the agency avoided inquiring into Naidu’s case on the pretext of
being understaffed.

Vijayamma also said
cine actor Murali Mohan and contractors Nama Nageswara Rao and CM Ramesh had
benefited with Naidu’s favours. “Under what guidelines did you show favours to
them?” she asked Naidu.

Reiterating that Jagan
Mohan Reddy was jailed with the conspiracy of CBI, TDP and Congress, Vijayamma
asked people to observe the partiality shown by the CBI in matters of
investigation.
