History repeating itself in Sharmila’s walkathon

Khammam, May 11, 2013: In
a strange but interesting coincidence, Smt. Y.S. Sharmila’s Maro Praja
Prasthanam Padayatra on Saturday reached the Sattupally town of Khammam
district which hosted the historic Praja Prasthanam Padayatra of Dr. YSR
exactly a decade ago.
On this day ten years
ago, YSR’s Praja Prasthanam reached the Sattupally town where YSR addressed a
huge public meeting at the Bus stand Ring Centre. In a repeat of the history,
Smt. Sharmila is also scheduled to address a public meeting on Saturday at the
same grounds where the late legendary leader addressed the gathering.
Again, Smt. Sharmila is
scheduled to rest for the night at Tallamada outskirts after addressing the
public meeting. Dr. YSR, after addressing the public meeting, also rested for
the night in the same area.
As part of his Praja
Prasthanam Padayatra, YSR stepped into the West Godavari District the very next
day of his Sattupally visit. Repeating the feat coincidentally, Smt. Sharmila
will also step into the West Godavari district tomorrow after completing her
walkathon in Khammam district today.
She walked a distance
of 12.2 km on Friday and several YSRCP leaders including Jalagam Venkata Rao,
Machcha Srinivasa Rao, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Payam Venkateswarlu, Tati
Venkateswarlu and Y.S. Konda Reddy accompanied her during the day’s Padayatra
