Education In Government Sector Extincts In Chandrababu Rule

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been strong proponent of privatization of education system from primary to university level ever since he assumed CM office in 2014.
At one side, the Chief Minister has put a blanket ban on recruitment in universities and other government educational institutions and the other side the corporate educational institutions were given freedom to take over existing education sector run by the government at the grassroots level.
The government was filling vacant posts in colleges only on contract basis leaving the unemployed youth in deep depression. Due to lack of adequate staff and basic infrastructure, many government institutions were already closed down.
In some cases, government funds were diverted to corporate institutions and the properties were given away to private players on the pretext of promoting quality education in the villages. Narayana Educational institutions, Esha, River and Anandalahari foundations launched foundation courses in government institutions eye to grab the valuable properties through the backdoor.
