Chandrababu Defuncts Entire Public Health Sector In AP

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's vision to promote Corporate health sector in a big way landed  the public health sector on the verge of extinction in the entire state.

Meagre funds to public health, neglect of modernisation of Primary Health Care Centres ( PHCs) and encouraging corporates to open thier health service centres in the villages made the  poor  vulnerable even to avail primary health care facilities in the villages.

In the farmer Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy's regime,  all the PHCs were strengthened and extended medical treatment to  all chronic diseases free of cost under Rajiv Arogya Sri programme.  After Chandrababu assumed the office,  the  strengthened entire health sectors was destroyed.

Even though the number of seasonal fevers and other communicable diseases increased, the PHCs were still ill- equipped to provide medicare to the poor.

PHCs located in the Assembly constituencies represented by Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad,  Ministers - P Pulla Rao etc already shut the services due to lack of diagnostic facility,  scarcity of doctors and  fund cruch. Taking it an advantage,  corporate hospitals are fleecing poor people who rushed to the hospitals for treatment.
