*Prove the land grab charge: Jogi Ramesh challenges Govt*

Ibrahimpatnam, Aug 30: Former Minister and YSRCP leader Jogi Ramesh challenged the coalition government to prove the land-grab charge published by Andhra Jyothy, asserting that he has no connection whatsoever with the irrigation land in Guntur mentioned in the report.
Addressing the media at his camp office in Ibrahimpatnam, Jogi Ramesh said the newspaper claimed that he had grabbed irrigation land worth ₹25 crore in Guntur, but failed to explain his role, identify any agent, associate or private person acting on his behalf. He demanded that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu order a transparent and impartial Vigilance inquiry and place the facts before the public. He said he had even sold the few properties he owned to clear debts and had never entered politics to make money.
Jogi Ramesh said the coalition government had made targeting him and his family a political programme. Within two months of assuming office, his son Rajeev was jailed in a land dispute case without evidence. Later, false liquor cases were created and he and his brother were kept in jail for 83 days. He questioned why no one had been arrested in the attack on his residence and said even the personal life of his son and daughter-in-law was being dragged into politics.
He said he had been in public life since the age of 19 and was being targeted because he belongs to a weaker section, carries the YSRCP flag and speaks in support of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. “File as many false cases as you want and send me to jail again, but you cannot silence me,” he said.
Jogi Ramesh said his fight would continue until YS Jagan returns as Chief Minister and again challenged the government to conduct a full inquiry and prove the land-grab charge.
